Al-Ittihad Finalizes Agreement with Aston Villa for Moussa Diaby Transfer

The management of Saudi club Al-Ittihad has put the final touches on an agreement with Aston Villa, under which French player Moussa Diaby will join their first football team for the upcoming season, according to exclusive sources from “Arriyadiyah.”

These sources revealed that Diaby has reached a definitive agreement with Al-Ittihad’s management to represent the Jeddah-based team with a five-season contract. The deal is now pending the resolution of matters related to purchasing the remaining duration of his contract with the English club, which runs until 2028.

Diaby, 25, entered into negotiations with Saudi club Al-Nassr last summer before joining Aston Villa in a £34 million transfer from German club Bayer Leverkusen. During his time with the “Villans,” he played 54 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.

Previously, Diaby also played for French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 and Italian club Crotone in 2017. According to “Transfermarkt,” his market value is estimated at around €55 million.
